Come and see what God is doing in Avenue Baptist Church

Perhaps you think it’s about time to get plugged into a local church, or you see the need to get answers on those big questions about life, wherever you are we welcome you. We are .5 mile from Stanford campus and walking distance from California Avenue. 

Here’s what you can expect on your first visit.
• We hold our worship service from 2:30-4PM in the main sanctuary of Jerusalem Baptist Church
• Each service to last about 1.5 hours
• Parents sitting with their kids during the worship
• Acoustic praise and a mixture of hymns and contemporary praise songs
• Responsive Bible reading where the pastor may ask the congregation read the text aloud together
• Expository preaching
• First Sunday of the month we partake in the Lord’s Supper
• Open altar for anyone to come forward and respond after hearing the message and seek prayer
• Following our service we have post-message discussion and light refreshments

Please fill out your Newcomer Card so we can be in touch. Throughout the year we lead various outings like hikes, volleyball, women’s and men’s get-togethers, etc. and don’t want you to miss out

• Go deeper into the Word with our weekly Bible study on Wednesdays 7pm:
We just finished going through the Book of Genesis, and are praying what we will study next

• Ask about our small groups:
We want to create place to make deeper relationships with others over shared coffee, prayer and study

• Become a member:
For believers who come to call Avenue Baptist Church their spiritual home, we offer a ten-weeks membership class. After completing class there will be a formal interview with the pastor and public recognition before the rest of the ABC body. For details on Baptism and Membership go here.
